Muş'ta spor turizminin gelişmesine yönelik stratejilerin belirlenmesi

Abstract

Son yıllarda turizm endüstrisi içerisinde yer alan spor turizmi, gerek ekonomiye gerekse de ülkelerin tanınırlığını artırmasına katkı sağlamaktadır. Özellikle ABD ve Avrupa ülkeleri gibi gelişmiş ülkeler, spor turizm sektörüne yaptıkları yatırımlarla büyüyen bu pastadan payını almaktadır. Ülkemizde dört mevsimin yaşaması, coğrafik ve iklim şartlarının elverişli olması nedeniyle yaz ve kış spor turizminin yapılmasına uygun olan ender ülkelerden biridir. Buna rağmen spor turizm potansiyelinin yeterince değerlendirilmediği görülmektedir. Turizm sektöründeki pastadan payını alabilmek için yeni spor turizm destinasyonu alanları oluşturması son derece önem arz etmektedir. Bu yüzden araştırma, Muş ilinin spor turizminin geliştirilmesine yönelik stratejilerin belirlenmesini amaçlamaktadır. Elde edilen veriler, Muş ilinde bulunan spor turizm sektörüyle ilişkili bazı kamu ve özel kurumlarda yönetici, antrenör, akademisyen, işletme sahibi, aktivist, seyahat acentesi temsilcisi, bazı spor il temsilcileri olmak üzere 24 kişi ile yapılan yüz yüze görüşmelerden toplanmıştır. Bu araştırmada, katılımcı görüşleri doğrultusunda Muş'un spor turizmi potansiyeline yönelik stratejileri belirmek için durum belirtme matrislerinden biri olan SWOT analizi yöntemine başvurulmuştur. Bu yöntemde Muş'ta spor turizmi ile ilgili belirtilen güçlü ve zayıf yönler, fırsat ve tehditler belirlenmiştir. Katılımcı görüşlerine göre, Muş'un spor turizm potansiyeli yaz turizminde; dağcılık, yamaç paraşütü ve güreş sporu, kış turizminde ise; kayak sporunun yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Muş'un spor turizmi durum belirleme matrislerinden SWOT analizi yöntemi sonuçlarına göre, coğrafi konumu, genç nüfusun fazla olması, jeopolitik konum, tarihi değerleri ve ulaşım kolaylığı güçlü yanlarını oluştururken, zayıf yönleri ise yatırımların yetersizliği, iklim şartları, ekonomik koşullar, halkın bilinçsiz olması, tanıtım ve reklam faaliyetlerinin eksikliği ve spor organizasyonlarının düzenlenmemesi olarak bulunmuştur. Fırsatlar olarak; ulaşım imkanlarının gelişmiş olması, yeryüzü şekilleri, genç nüfusun fazla olması, bakir bir doğasının olması, jeopolitik konumu, akarsularının elverişli olması ön plana çıkarken, tehditler olarak; tesisleşmenin yetersiz olması, iklim şartlarının olumsuz olması, halkın bilinçsiz olması, tanıtım faaliyetlerinin yetersiz olması, küresel ısınmanın olumsuz etkisi ön plana çıkmıştır.

In recent years, sports tourism, which is included in the tourism industry, contributes both to the economy and to increasing the recognition of countries. Especially developed countries such as the United States and European Countries are taking their share of this cake, which is growing with their investments in the sports tourism sector. Due to the fact that there are four seasons in our country, geographical and climatic conditions are favorable, it is one of the rare countries suitable for summer and winter sports tourism. Despite this, it seems that the potential of sports tourism has not been adequately evaluated. In order to get its share of the pie in the tourism sector, it is extremely important that it creates new sports tourism destination areas.Therefore, the research aims to determine the strategies for the development of sports tourism in Muş province. The data obtained were collected from face-to-face interviews with 24 people, including managers, coaches, academicians, business owners, activists, travel agency representatives, some sports provincial representatives, in some public and private institutions associated with the sports tourism sector located in Muş province. In this research, SWOT analysis method, which is one of the status determination matrices, was used to determine the strategies of Muş for the potential of sports tourism in accordance with the opinions of the participants. In this method, strengths and weaknesses, opportunities and threats related to sports tourism in Muş were determined. According to the opinions of the participants, it was determined that the sports tourism potential of Muş is high in summer tourism; mountaineering, paragliding and wrestling sports, and in winter tourism; ski sports. According to the results of the SWOT analysis of Mus sport tourism, geographical location, more than the young population, geopolitical location, ease of Transportation date values and creating strengths, weaknesses, lack of investments, climatic conditions, economic conditions, people's unconscious, and the sport is not the lack of organisation of promotional and advertising activities. As opportunities; transportation facilities are developed, landform, the young population is more than nature to be a copper, geopolitical position of the stream to the availability emphasized as threats; insufficient tesislesmen unfavorable climatic conditions for people to be to be unconscious, lack of promotional activities, has highlighted the negative impact of global warming.
