Öğe Türü: Öğe , Physicochemical properties of Euphorbia honey and determination of antioxidant enzyme activity(Hellenic Veterinary Medical Soc, 2026) Ayvaz, Melek Col; Kabakci, Dilek; Kara, Yakup; Oztokmak, Atilla; Akdeniz, Gokhan; Guney, FazilIn this study, it was aimed to investigate the compliance of the physicochemical properties of 8 honey samples produced in regions where the dominant flora is euphorbia and obtained directly from the producer, to international standards, as well as to determine the total phenolic and flavonoid contents and antioxidant activities of the extracts of these honeys prepared with water and methanol. Determined physical properties such as humidity, pH, electrical conductivity, hydroxy methyl furfural content, acidity, brix, diastase number, proline amount and distribution of sugar ratios are within the appropriate values in terms of the honey notification accepted in our country. Phenolic and flavonoid contents were found to be higher in water extracts, in correlation with antioxidant activity values. It can be expected that the honey that can be consumed safely by consuming this class of flower honey, which has been found to be suitable in terms of physicochemical parameters and has antioxidant activity, will also be beneficial for health.Öğe Türü: Öğe , Experimental Evaluation and ANN-Based Prediction of Polymer Spur Gears Fabricated by Additive Manufacturing(Wiley, 2026) Karadag, Arif; Ulkir, OsmanThis study explores the fabrication of polymer spur gears using fused deposition modeling (FDM). It evaluates their mechanical and surface properties through experimental methods and develops predictive models using artificial neural networks (ANN). Four different thermoplastic materials: PLA, PETG, ABS, and carbon fiber-reinforced PLA (Cf/PLA) were employed to produce gear models. Dimensional accuracy, surface roughness, Shore D hardness, and wear performance were analyzed under varying printing conditions. A Taguchi L9 orthogonal array was used to investigate the effects of infill density (ID), layer thickness (LT), and printing speed (PS) on gear quality. PLA exhibited the lowest surface roughness (Ra = 11.14 mu m), while Cf/PLA provided the highest Shore D hardness of 84.65, along with the lowest coefficient of friction (mu = 0.1255) under optimized processing conditions. PETG and ABS showed moderate and relatively consistent performance across the evaluated metrics. Dimensional deviations remained under 2.5% for all materials, with Cf/PLA and PLA yielding the highest dimensional stability. ID was the most dominant factor, contributing up to 65.4% to hardness, 59.1% to surface roughness, and 63.7% to wear resistance, depending on material type. For dimensional accuracy, LT had the highest influence, accounting for up to 54.6% of the variation. These findings indicate that both material choice and process parameters have statistically significant effects on the final gear quality. SEM analysis of worn surfaces revealed distinct wear mechanisms: ABS showed adhesive wear and thermal softening, PLA exhibited brittle fracture and thermal degradation, Cf/PLA displayed fiber pull-out and matrix cracking, while PETG demonstrated abrasive wear and layer delamination, highlighting material-specific tribological behaviors under dry sliding conditions. ANN was developed to predict gear performance based on material type and processing parameters. The ANN models demonstrated excellent prediction accuracy, with R 2 values exceeding 0.99 and MAPE as low as 8.97% for hardness, 9.68% for surface roughness, 10.38% for wear, and 11.24% for dimensional accuracy.Öğe Türü: Öğe , Teachers' beliefs about the physical education and sports profession and their impact on quality of work life(Univ Murcia, 2025) Sayin, Ahmet Alper; Karayazi, Tulay; Eroglu, Sultan Yavuz; Uzer, YunusThis study examined the impact of physical education teachers' beliefs about their profession on their quality of work life. The research sample consisted of 90 physical education and sports teachers (17 female, 73 male) employed in schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education in Siirt Province, Turkey. The researchers utilized personal information forms, the Quality of Work Life Scale and the questionnaire Physical Education Teachers' Beliefs about the Physical Education Profession. The findings revealed that there was a significant positive relationship between overall beliefs about the profession and quality of work life (r = 0.244, p = 0.021). Regression analysis revealed that the overall beliefs about the profession were significant predictors of quality of work life (beta = 0.244, p = 0.021). Of the overall beliefs, the value of the physical education profession had a significant positive effect on quality of work life (beta = 0.255, p = 0.015), while sense of calling had no significant effect (p > 0.05). Beliefs about the profession were found to be significant predictors of individual quality of work life (p < 0.01), while the relationship between overall beliefs about the profession and organizational quality of work life was weaker and not significant (p > 0.05). The rats were divided into three groups and titanium implants, 2.5 mm diameter and 4 mm lenght, were placed in the cortico-cancellous bone structure in the metaphyseal parts of the right tibia bones of all rats included in the study.
