Abstract

Tezimiz, Hz. Muhammed ümmiliği meselesinin çağdaş tefsirlerde, özellikle Muhammed Abid el-Câbirî özelinde nasıl ele alındığı ile ilgilidir. Hz. Muhammed'in ümmîliği meselesi klasik dönemden itibaren müfessirler tarafından ele alınmıştır. Bu döneme ait tefsirler incelendiğinde, Hz. Muhammed özelinde kavram ile ilgili tespit edilen anlam, onun okur-yazar olmadığı şeklindedir. Müfessirlerin genel görüşleri incelendiğinde, ayetlerde ve sözlüklerdeki mevcut anlamlarına paralel olarak, Hz. The general opinion of commentators in the contemporary period is that Hz. It is said that Muhammad could not read or write. However, the only commentator who does not hold this view is Muhammad Âbid al-Câbirî. He examined in detail the views put forward before him and Hz. He concluded that Muhammad was not illiterate.
