David Hume'da nedensellik bağlamında Tanrı problemi

Abstract

David Hume'un epistemolojisi içinde en önemli konu nedenselliktir. Benzerlik ve ardışıklık ilkelerinden hareketle görünenden görünmeyene doğru bir çıkarsama ile varsayılan neden ile etki arasındaki bağın mahiyeti sorgulaması bağlamında yaptığı çözümlemeler, aslında Hume'un metafiziğe ilişkin görüşünü de temellendirir. Ayrıca onun agnostik ve skeptik tutumunu da bu yaklaşım çerçevesinde anlamlandırabiliriz. Bu çalışmamızda Hume'un nedensellik kuramı bağlamında Tanrı'nm ilk-etkin neden ve nedensel yargılarımızın objesi olup olamayacağını irdelemeye çalışacağız.

In Hume's epistemology, the most important topic is causality. Hume's analyses, moving from the principles of resemblance and successiveness, in aspect of questioning of the nature of presumed relations between cause and effect that is an inference from visible to invisible, actually constitutes Hume's metaphysical view. In addition, we can define his agnostical and sceptical attitude within this framework. In this paper, in the context of Hume's causality theory, we try to examine whether God will be first-efficient cause and object of our causal judgements or not.
