Trabzon Volkanitlerinin Dış Cephe Kaplaması Olarak Kullanılabilirliğinin Araştırılması

Abstract

Enerji ihtiyacının her geçen gün arttığı günümüzde binalarda kullanılankaplama malzemesinin özelliklerinin önemi artırmıştır. Bina iç ve dışkaplamasında kullanılan malzemelerin standartlara uygun olması gerekmektedir. Buçalışmada Trabzon çevresinde geniş bir yayılım gösteren Geç Jura-Erken Kretaseyaşlı volkanitlerin bazı fiziksel özellikleri incelenmiştir. Söz konusuvolkanitlerden örnekler alınarak birim hacim ağırlık, kütlece su emme, porozite, böhme aşınma dayanımı, tek eksenli basınç dayanımı, sertlik değerlerive Ultrasonik hız tayini yapılmıştır. Deney ve incelemeler sonucunda eldeedilen veriler Trabzon volkanitlerinin TS standartlarına ve ASTM standartlarınagöre yapılarda döşemede, iç ve dış kaplamada kullanılamayacağını göstermiştir.

In today's days when the need for energy increases, the properties of thecoating materials used in the buildings have increased. Materials used insideand outside the building must conform to the standards. In this study, somephysical properties of the Late Jurassic-Early Cretaceous volcanics, which arewidely spreading around Trabzon, have been investigated. Weight per unit ofvolume, massive water absorption, porosity, abrasion resistance, uniaxialcompressive strength, hardness values and ultrasonic pulse velocity weredetermined by taking samples from these volcanic rocks. The data obtained as aresult of the tests and examinations show that the Trabzon volcanic cannot beused for indoor and outdoor coating in the upstairs according to TS and ASTMstandards.
