Bir Sektör Olarak Sporun Değerlendirilmesi: Küresel Perspektifte Bir Bakış

Abstract

Etkilediği parametreler, yükselen katma değeri, istihdam potansiyeli, sosyal uyum ve sosyal içermeye katkısı gibi faktörler spor faaliyetlerini sektörleştirmiştir. Günümüzde temel sektörlerle rekabet edebilecek potansiyeli yakalamış olan spor sektörünün bu gelişim seyrini koruyacağı düşünülmektedir. Vurgulanan büyüme potansiyelinin gerçekleşmesi ulusal vizyon belgelerinde de taahhüt altına alınmıştır. Gerçekleştirilen çalışma ile sektör kavramı analiz edilerek sektörleşme süreçleri tartışılmış dünyada ve Türkiye’de spor sektörünün diğer sektörlerle olan ilişkisi incelenmiş, spor sektörünün sosyo-ekonomik anlamda sağladığı katma değer sektörün sağladığı istihdam, ticaret hacmi ve yatırım potansiyeli perspektifinde incelenerek “Spor Sektör Müdür?” tartışması gerekçelendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Yapılan analizler sonucunda spor sektörünün istihdam faktörü, katma değeri ve diğer sektörlerle etkileşimi anlamında temel sektörler ile rekabet edebileceği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Yine gerçekleştirilen çalışma ile Türkiye özelinde spora ilişkin gerçekleştirilen yatırımların nitelik ve nicelik anlamında yıllar itibariyle artış seyrinde olduğu gözlemlenmiştir. Nihayetinde çok yönlü yapısı itibariyle ülkemizin sosyo-ekonomik yönden kalkınmasında bir dinamo vazifesi görebilecek potansiyele sahip olan spor sektöründen söz konusu faydanın sağlanabilmesi ise spora, sporcuya ve spor alt yapısına gerekli yatırımların yapılması ile doğrudan ilişkilidir.
