Beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin mesleki aidiyet, okulla özdeşleşme ve işgören performanslarının incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı, beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin mesleki aidiyet, okulla özdeşleşme ve işgören performansı düzeylerini incelemek ve bu değişkenler arasındaki ilişkileri ortaya koymaktır. Araştırmada ilişkisel tarama modeli benimsenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini, kolayda örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen 140'ı kadın ve 105'i erkek olmak üzere toplam 245 beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmeni oluşturmaktadır. Verilerin toplanmasında Kişisel Bilgi Formu, Mesleki Aidiyet Ölçeği, Okulla Özdeşleşme Ölçeği ve İşgören Performansı Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde bağımsız gruplar t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA), Pearson korelasyon ve basit doğrusal regresyon analizlerinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre, öğretmenlerin mesleki aidiyet ve işgören performansı düzeylerinin cinsiyet ve mesleki deneyim değişkenlerine göre anlamlı farklılıklar gösterdiği; okulla özdeşleşme düzeylerinin ise cinsiyet değişkenine göre anlamlı biçimde farklılaşmadığı belirlenmiştir. Yaş değişkeni ile mesleki aidiyet, okulla özdeşleşme ve işgören performansı arasında pozitif yönde düşük düzeyde anlamlı ilişkiler tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca mesleki aidiyet ile okulla özdeşleşme arasında pozitif yönde yüksek düzeyde anlamlı bir ilişki; mesleki aidiyet ile işgören performansı ve okulla özdeşleşme ile işgören performansı arasında ise pozitif yönde orta düzeyde anlamlı ilişkiler olduğu saptanmıştır. Regresyon analizleri sonucunda mesleki aidiyetin okulla özdeşleşmeyi ve işgören performansını; okulla özdeşleşmenin ise işgören performansını anlamlı düzeyde yordadığı belirlenmiştir. Genel olarak araştırma sonuçları, beden eğitimi ve spor öğretmenlerinin mesleki aidiyet ve okulla özdeşleşme düzeylerinin, işgören performansının önemli açıklayıcıları olduğunu ve bu psikolojik süreçlerin öğretmen performansının artırılmasında kritik bir role sahip olduğunu göstermektedir

The purpose of this study is to examine the professional identity, school identification, and employee performance of physical education and sports teachers. A correlational survey model was adopted in the study. The sample of the study consists of a total of 245 physical education and sports teachers, 140 of whom are female and 105 of whom are male, selected using convenience sampling. The "Personal Information Form," "Professional Belonging Scale," "School Identification Scale," and "Employee Performance Scale" were used to collect data from the participants in the study. Independent samples t-test, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), Pearson correlation, and regression methods were applied in the statistical analysis of the data. The findings revealed that there were significant differences in the participants' levels of professional identity across all demographic characteristics. No significant difference was found in school identification levels based on gender, but significant differences were found based on other demographic characteristics. Significant differences were found in employee performance levels based on all demographic characteristics. A highly significant positive relationship was found between participants' levels of professional commitment and their levels of school identification; a moderately significant positive relationship was found between professional commitment levels and employee performance levels. Additionally, a moderately significant positive relationship was found between school identification and employee performance levels. In general, the research results show that professional identity and school identification are directly and indirectly related to teachers' performance success.
