Tutum, Başarı ve Cinsiyet Işığında Lise Öğrencileri ve Matematik

Abstract

Thepurpose of this research is to determine the attitudes of high school studentstowards mathematics, mathematical academics achievement, class levels andgender relations with each other. Research is in the descriptive model. In theresearch, "mathematics attitude scale" was used to collect data. Thescores of the students were accepted as academic achievement grades. Data werecollected during the 2017-2018 academic year and analyzed using SPSS 21. Thisresearch was conducted with 381 high school students. As a result of theanalyses there is no significant difference in the attitudes of the studentstowards the mathematics course by gender; there are significant differencesbetween classes 12th and 10th and 11th in terms of classes. Mathematics coursegrades of students who study in the 12th class are significantly lower thangrades of students who study in the 10th and 11th class.

Buaraştırmanın amacı, lise öğrencilerinin matematik dersine yönelik tutumlarının, matematik başarılarının, sınıf düzeylerinin ve cinsiyetlerinin birbirleriyleolan ilişkisini belirlemektir. Araştırma tarama modelindedir. Araştırmada veritoplamak amacıyla “matematik tutum ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Öğrencilerin karnenotları akademik başarı notları olarak kabul edilmiştir. 2017-2018 eğitimöğretim yılında veriler toplanmış ve SPSS 21 kullanılarak analizedilmiştir. Araştırma 381 lise öğrencisiile gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yapılan analizler sonucunda öğrencilerin matematikdersine yönelik tutumlarında cinsiyete göre anlamlı fark olmadığı; sınıflaraçısından 12. sınıflar ile 10. ve 11. sınıflar arasında yüksek düzeyde anlamlıfarklılıklar olduğu, 12. sınıfta okuyan öğrencilerin matematik dersi notları10. ve 11. sınıfta okuyan öğrencilere göre anlamlı düzeyde düşük olduğu tespitedilmiştir.
