4. ve 5. Sınıf Öğrencilerinin Ondalık Gösterim Konusundaki Kavram Yanılgılarının ve Hatalarının Tespiti ve Analizi

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amaçlarından birisi ilköğretim 4. ve 5. sınıf öğrencilerinin ondalık gösterim konusundaki kavram yanılgılarının ve hatalarının tespit edilmesidir. Çalışmanın diğer amacı ise “hata ve kavram yanılgıları teşhis testinin” nasıl değerlendirileceğini belirlemektir. Çalışmada kullanılan yöntem tarama modeli olup öğrencilerin mevcut durumunu ortaya koymak amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla, 4. ve 5. sınıf öğrencilerinin ondalık gösterim konusundaki kavram yanılgılarını ve hatalarını tespit etmek için ilgili alan yazın analiz edilmiş ve matematik eğitiminde uzman 3 eğitimcinin görüşleri de dikkate alınarak 28 sorudan oluşan üç aşamalı “hata ve kavram yanılgıları teşhis testi” adlı bir test hazırlanmıştır. Bu ölçme aracının güvenirliğinin belirlenmesi amacıyla 100 öğrenci ile pilot uygulaması yapılmıştır. Veriler SPSS’e girilmiştir ve testin KR-20 değeri 0.75 olarak bulunmuştur. Çalışma bulgularına göre çalışmaya katılan öğrencilerde ondalık gösterimler konusunda kavram yanılgıları görülmüştür.

One of the aims of this study is to identify the misconceptions and mistakes of the 4th and 5th grade students of the elementary school about the decimal numbers. The other aim of the study is to determine how to evaluate the "error and misconception diagnostic test". The method used in the study was descriptive survey and aimed to reveal the current situation of the students. For this purpose, the related literature was analyzed to determine the misconceptions and errors of the 4th and 5th grade students on the decimal representation. Taking into consideration the opinions of the 3 specialists in mathematics education, a three-step "error and misconception diagnostic test" consisting of 28 questions was prepared. Pilot application was made with 100 students to determine the reliability of this measurement tool. The data were entered into SPSS and the value of the test was found to be 0.75 for the KR-20. According to the findings of the study, the students who participated in the study had misconceptions about the decimal representations.
