ANALYSIS OF ARTICLES ON DIALECT IN THE TURKHISH LANGUAGE STUDIES YEARBOOK (TLSY) BELLETEN JOURNAL

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the articles related to dialect in the Belleten journal of Turkish Language Studies Yearbook (TLSY). Data were collected from archives from the page of the Belleten magazine in the Dergipark system of the Turkish Language Studies Yearbook (TLSY), the first issue of which was published by the Turkish Language Association in 1953 and aims to present studies on Turkish to the scientific community. As of the end of 2021, the journal had a total of 1057 articles in 84 issues. Seventy-four of those included studies on the subject of dialect. Seventy-four articles on dialect were analyzed in the context of 13 sub-problems. The study used a qualitative research method and determined 81 scientific articles on the subject of dialect. Zeynep Korkmaz and Ahmet Caferoglu, who wrote nine articles each, have the highest number of articles on the subject of dialect. The distribution of the articles on the topic of dialect differed according to the number of pages. The articles were between 10-19 pages at most (27). Ten articles made comparisons on the topic of dialect. The most comparison was in the form of historical Turkish and Anatolian dialects with six articles. Forty articles addressed local dialects. Of the 74 studies on dialect, 71 were research articles. All of the articles on the subject of dialect published in the journal were in Turkish.Türk Dili Arastirmalari Yilligi (TDAY) Belleten dergisinde agiz konusu ile ilgili makalelerin analizinin amaçlandigi bu çalismada Türk Dil Kurumu tarafindan ilk sayisi 1953 yilinda yayimlanan ve Türkçe ile ilgili çalismalari bilim camiasina sunmayi amaçlayan Türk Dili Arastirmalari Yilligi (TDAY) Belleten dergisinin Dergipark sistemindeki sayfasindan arsivlere girilerek bilgilere ulasilmistir. Dergide 2021 yili sonu itibariyle 84 sayida toplam 1057 makale oldugu ve bunun 74’ünün agiz konusu ile ilgili çalismalari içerdigi tespit edilmistir. Agiz konusu ile ilgili 74 makale 13 alt problem baglaminda incelenmistir. Nitel arastirma yönteminin kullanildigi çalismada 81 bilim insaninin agiz konusu ile ilgili makalesinin oldugu saptanmistir. Agiz konusu ile ilgili en çok makale 9’ar makale yazan Zeynep Korkmaz ve Ahmet Caferoglu’na aittir. Agiz konusu ile ilgili makalelerin sayfa sayilarina göre dagilimi farklilik göstermistir. Sayfa sayisi dagilimina göre en fazla 10-19 sayfa arasi makale (27) oldugu saptanmistir. Çalisma kapsaminda dergide yer alan 10 makalede agiz konusu ile ilgili karsilastirmalarin yapildigi belirlenmistir. En fazla karsilastirmanin 6 makaleyle tarihi Türkçe ile Anadolu agizlarinin karsilastirilmasi seklinde oldugu görülmüstür. Konu bakimindan en fazla makale konusu 40 çalisma ile yerel agizlarin ele alindigi çalismalarda olmustur. Ayrica agiz konusunun islendigi 74 çalismanin 71’inin arastirma makalesi oldugu tespit edilmistir. Dergide yayimlanan agiz konusu ile ilgili makalelerin tamami Türkçe yazilmistir.
