Gençlik edebiyatında şiddet olgusu: Wattpad kitapları üzerine bir inceleme

Abstract

Gençler tarafından popülerleşen sosyal medya platformu Wattpad, 2015 yılında yazılı basında yayınevleri tarafından yoğun talep görmüştür. Online platformda yoğun ilgi gören Wattpad kitapları, yayınevleri tarafından keşfedilmiş olup basımı yapılarak ekonomik pazar haline gelmiştir. Bu tezin amacı şiddet olgusunun Wattpad platformunda yer alan, yazarları Şehnaz HAŞİMOĞLU ve Gülşen HAŞİMOĞLU olan basımı yüksek olup çok okunan listesine giren üç ciltli kuma kitabı ile iki ciltten oluşan berdel kitaplarında yer alan şiddet temalarını incelemektir. Çalışmada araştırma konusuna uygun olarak nitel araştırma yönteminden yararlanılmış olup içerik analiz tekniği kullanılmıştır. Nitel araştırma yönteminde metinlerde yer alan şiddet temaları içerik analiz yöntemi kullanılarak kategorileştirilmiştir. Çalışmada şiddet türleri, şiddet ifadeleri ve şiddet ifadelerinin tekrarlanma sayısı tablo şeklinde ele alınmıştır. Yapılan içerik analizinde 5 kitapta şiddet türü ayırt edilmeksizin toplam 284 defa tespit edilmiştir. Çalışmada şiddet türlerinden fiziksel şiddet ve sözel şiddetin yoğun olarak kullanıldığı tespit edilerek, cinsel şiddete az rastlanmış olup ekonomik şiddet ve tek taraflı ısrarlı takip türlerine rastlanmamıştır.Wattpad, the social media platform popularized by young people, was in high demand by publishing houses in the print media in 2015. Wattpad books, which attracted great attention on the online platform, were discovered by publishing houses and became an economic market by printing. The aim of this thesis is to examine the themes of violence in the three-volume kuma book and the two-volume berdel books, which are on the Wattpad platform and whose authors are Şehnaz and Gülşen HAŞİMOĞLU, are highly published and are on the most read list. In the study, qualitative research method was used in accordance with the research topicand content analysis technique was used. İn the qualitative research method, the themes ofviolence in the texts werecategorized using the content analysis method. In the study, types of violence, expressions of violence and the number of repetitions of violent expressions were discussed in the form of a table. In the content analysis, a total of 284 times were detected in 5 books, regardless of the type of violence. In the study, it was determined that physical violence and verbal violence were used extensively among the types of violence, sexual violence was rarely encountered, and economic violence and one-sided persistent stalking types were not encountered.
