An New Institutional View of the Social Welfare of the Azerbaijan Economy

Abstract

Birülkenin toplumsal refahı sadece büyüme faktörüne indirgenemez. Büyümeninyanında esas olan ülkenin kurumlarının kalitesidir. Bu çalışmada YeniKurumsalcı İktisat bakış açısıyla bağımsızlıktan sonra Azerbaycanekonomisindeki gelişmeler irdelenmiştir. Çalışmada ekonomik ve sosyalgöstergeler yardımı ile Azerbaycan ekonomisinin toplumsal refahının ne yöndegeliştiği araştırılmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda Azerbaycan ekonomisinin, toplumsalfayda açısından gerekli kurumları oluşturduğu, kurumların toplumsal refah içinbelirli dönüşümleri sağladığı ancak ekonomik gelişmenin toplumsal faydayı maksimizeeden esas unsurları yeterince geliştiremediği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Thesocial welfare of a country cannot be reduced only to the growth factor.Besides the growth, it is the quality of the institutions of the country whichis essential. In this study, developments in the Azerbaijani economics wereexamined after independence from the New Institutionalist Economics point ofview. With the help of economic and social indicators, it has been researchedhow the social welfare of the Azerbaijani economy has improved. As a result ofthe study, it is revealed that the Azerbaijani economy has established theinstitutions necessary for social benefit, institutions provide certaintransformations for social welfare, but it is concluded that economicdevelopment does not sufficiently improve the social benefit.
