“I. Dünya Savaşı’nda Rusya’nın Rolü”

Abstract

Bir kitap üzerine değerlendirme yazısı yazmak dikkat ve emek isteyen bir iştir. Bu tür yazılarda yazarın kitabı yazma amacını ve kitabın literatüre ne kazandırdığını belirtmek gereklidir. Bunun için de incelenen kitap iyice okunup özümsenmelidir. Değerlendirmesini yapacağımız “Birinci Dünya Savaşı’nda Rusya’nın Rolü” isimli kitap, I. Dünya Savaşı’nın çıkışına ya da nedenlerine ait klişeleşmiş anlatımların ötesinde yeni bir iddia ortaya atmaktadır. Bu iddia, savaşın bütün sorumluluğunu Almanya’ya yükleyen görüşün aksine I. Dünya Savaşı’nın çıkmasında Rusya’nın etkilerini ön plana çıkarmaktadır. Burada yazarın amacı, savaşın sorumluluğu konusunda Almanya’yı aklamak değildir. Bu savaşın patlak vermesinde en az Almanya kadar sorumlu olan Rusya gibi diğer ülkelerin de etkilerini ortaya çıkarmaktır.

Writing a review on a book requires attention and effort. In such writings it is necessary to specify the author's purpose of writing the book and what the book has contributed to the literature. For this, the book studied must be thoroughly read and assimilated. The book titled “The Russian Origins of the First World War” will make a new claim beyond the stereotypes of the origins of, or reasons for, the First World War. This claim, in contrast to the idea of putting all the responsibility of the war into Germany, puts the influence of Russia into the foreground in the emergence of World War I. Here, the writer does not conceive of Germany on the intentional war responsibility. It is to bring out the effects of other countries such as Russia, which is at least as responsible as Germany in the outbreak of this war.
