Muş İli Süt Üretiminin ARIMA Modeli ile Tahmini

Abstract

Nüfusun % 60’ının kırsal kesimde yaşadığı Muş ilinde, ekonomi önemli ölçüde tarım ve hayvancılığa dayanmaktadır. Muş ilinde hayvancılığın en önemli ürünlerinden biri de süttür. Türkiye’de olduğu gibi Muş ilinde de nüfus artışına bağlı olarak süt ve süt ürünlerine olan talep artmaktadır. Artan bu taleple başa çıkmak ve buna ilişkin uygun politika çıkarımlarında bulunmak için gelecekteki süt üretiminin nasıl bir seyir göstereceği önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı TÜİK’in 1995-2019 dönemi verilerinden hareketle gelecek dört yıllık dönemde Muş süt üretimini tahmin etmek ve bu bağlamda öneriler sunmaktır. Süt üretiminin tahmininde ARIMA (Box-Jenkins) modeli kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre, Muş ili süt üretiminin 2020 yılında yaklaşık 336 bin ton, 2023 yılında ise yaklaşık 368 bin ton olacağı tahmin edilmiştir.

The economy is primarily based on agriculture and livestock farming in the Muş province, where 60 percent of the population lives in rural areas. Milk is one of the most important products of livestock farming in Muş province. Demand for milk and dairy products in Turkey, as well as in the province of Muş, is rising due to population growth. The trend of future milk production is important to cope with this increasing demand and to make appropriate policy implications. The aim of this study is to estimate, based on TURKSTAT data over the period 1995-2019, the milk production of Muş province over the next four years and to provide suggestions in this context. Box-Jenkins estimation methodolgy (ARIMA) models are used to predict the milk production. According to the findings of the study, it is estimated that the milk production of Muş province will be approximately 336 thousand tons in 2020 and 368 thousand tons in 2023.
