LİSE ÖĞRENCİLERİNİN DEMOKRASİ BİLİNCİNİN BAZI FAKTÖRLERE GÖRE İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Bu araştırma; ortaöğretimde okuyan öğrencilerin demokrasi bilincini değişik faktörlere göre incelemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini rastgele yöntemiyle seçilen 5 devlet lisesinin 249 son sınıf öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Araştırma kapsamına alınan bu öğrencilere araştırmacı tarafından geliştirilen ölçek formu uygulanmıştır. Ölçeğin geçerlik ve güvenirlik çalışması yapılmış ve şu sonuçlara ulaşılmıştır: Madde test korelasyon katsayısı 0,32-0,64 arasında değişmektedir. İç tutarlık güvenirlik katsayısı 0,90 bulunmuştur. Ölçeğin faktör yükleri 0,37 ile 0,69 arasında değişmektedir. Analiz için tek yönlü varyans analizi, tukey çoklu test ve anova yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. İstatistiksel analizler sonucunda genel olarak cinsiyete, ailenin yaşadığı yere, ekonomik seviyesine, öğrenim durumuna ve ebeveyn tutumlarına göre demokrasi bilinci arasında anlamlı bir fark bulunmamıştır. Öğrencilerin başarı durumuna ve öğrencilerin okudukları okul türüne göre demokrasi bilinci açısından anlamlı bir fark bulunmuştur. Demokrasi kavramının ayrılmaz bir parçası olan insan hakları, vatandaşlık hak ve ödevleri konusunda okullarda öğrencilerin daha fazla bilinçlendirilmesi gibi çeşitli önerilerde bulunmuştur.

This research aimed to examine the high school students’ awareness of democracy according to various factors. The sample is created by five high schools and 249 senior high school students. The scale was adapted which was developed by the researcher for the students who are involved in this research. The validity and reliability of the scale were done and the following conclusions: Article test correlation ranged from 0,32 to 0,64. Internal consistency reliability coefficient was 0,90. Factor loadings of the scale, ranged from 0,69 to 0,37. The scale which ready for adapt consists of two parts. For analysis, were used as one-way analysis of variance, Tukey multiple methods test and anova. As a result of statistical analysis in general, gender, place of residence of the family, family economic level, success or failure in family and parental attitudes were not significantly different according to the consciousness of democracy. Among the boy and girl students, there aren't significant differences accroding to gender in terms of awareness of democracy. Students’ academic success level and the type of school students found no significant difference in the consciousness of democracy.
