Özet
This study explores the potential of sustainable aviation fuels (SAFs) and their impact on the aviation industry. The aviation sector is increasingly under pressure to get rid of fossil fuels and adopt renewable alternatives due to the concerns of environmental conservation and climate change. This chapter analyses different categories of SAFs such as biofuels and synthetic fuels based on how they are produced, their energy efficiency and the impact they have on the environment. In addition, the summary addresses the cost-related concerns that come with making SAFs popular. Through this write-up, current global undertakings and prototype events meant to see the accomplishment of this idea are outlined. The summary provides useful information about the good and bad sides of biofuel use in the airline industry based on careful thought and examination, thereby adding to the conversation about how energy used in transportation becomes greener. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
