Hizmet İhracatı ve Turizm Harcamalarının Ekonomik Büyümeye Katkısı Üzerine Ampirik Bir Analiz: 1996-2017 Türkiye Örneği

Abstract

In developing countries such as Turkey, two ofthe most important factors affecting economic growth recently are tourism andservice sector. In a globalized world economy, companies or firms have turnedto exports of services rather than exports of goods. In order to increaseservice exports in a country, the service sector in that country needs to bedeveloped. In this study, between the years 1996-2017 exports of services andthe impact on economic growth of tourism spending in Turkey, Least Squares(OLS) method was used and econometric analysis has been applied. According tothe study, between the years 1996-2017 exports of services to Turkey, tourismspending and economic growth data were obtained from the World Bank Databasewebsite in dollars and an empirical analysis was made. According to the resultsof the research, it has been found that there is a positive relation betweenservice exports and tourism expenditures and economic growth. In both of thesesectors, it is seen that the increases that have taken place have positiveeffects on economic growth.

Türkiyegibi gelişmekte olan ülkelerde ekonomik büyümeyi son zamanlarda etkileyenönemli faktörlerden ikisi turizm ve hizmet sektörüdür. Küreselleşen dünyaekonomisinde şirketler veya firmalar ürün ihracatından çok hizmet ihracatınayönelmiştir. Bir ülkede hizmet ihracatının artması için o ülkede hizmetsektörünün gelişmiş olması gerekmektedir. Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’de 1996-2017yılları arasında hizmet ihracatı ve turizm harcamalarının ekonomik büyümeyeetkisi, En Küçük Kareler (EKK) yöntemi ile tahmin edilip ekonometrik analiziyapılmıştır. Çalışma doğrultusunda 1996-2017 yılları arasında Türkiye’ye aithizmet ihracatı, turizm harcamaları ve ekonomik büyüme verileri, World BankDatabase web sitesinden dolar cinsiden temin edilip ampirik analizi yapılmıştır.Araştırmada elde edilen sonuçlara göre, hizmet ihracatı ve turizm harcamalarıile iktisadi büyüme arasında pozitif bir ilişkinin olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Buiki sektörde de meydana gelen artışların ekonomik büyüme üzerinde olumlu etkiyesahip olduğu görülmüştür.
