SOSYAL BİLGİLER ÖĞRETMEN ADAYLARININ HALKEVLERİ HAKKINDA GÖRÜŞLERİ

Abstract

Bu çalışma 1932-1951 yılları arasında faaliyette bulunmuş bir yaygın eğitim kurumu olan Halkevlerine ilişkin Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmen adayların görüşlerinin saptanmasını amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 2017-2018 eğitim öğretim yılında Doğu Anadolu bölgesinde bulunan bir devlet üniversitesinin, Eğitim Fakültesi Türkçe ve Sosyal Bilimler Eğitimi Bölümü, Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretmenliği Anabilim Dalı’nda eğitim gören 4. sınıf 30 öğretmen adayı oluşturmaktadır. Öğretmen adaylarının görüşleri, görüşme yöntemi aracılığıyla elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen veriler, nitel veri analizi tekniğinden yararlanarak çözümlenmiştir. Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular çalışmaya katılan Sosyal Bilgiler öğretmen adaylarının önemli bir kısmının bu kurum hakkında yeterli bilgiye sahip olmadığını göstermektedir. Bununla birlikte öğretmen adayları Halkevlerinin yaygın eğitim faaliyetlerinin Cumhuriyet dönemi örgün eğitim faaliyetlerine katkı sağladığını düşünmektedir. Araştırmanın diğer bulguları ise adayların Halkevlerinin çalışmalarının incelenmesinin günümüz eğitim faaliyetlerine de katkı sağlayacağı ve Sosyal Bilgiler 4., 5., 6., 7. sınıf ve 8. sınıf İnkılâp Tarihi ve Atatürkçülük ders kitabında Halkevlerine daha fazla yer verilmesi gerektiğini düşündüğünü göstermektedir.This study aims to determine the views of social studies teacher candidates on community centers, a non-formal education institution that was in operation between 1932 and 1951. In the 2017-2018 academic year, a State University in eastern Anatolia region, Faculty of Education, Department of Turkish and Social Sciences Education, Department of Social Studies teaching, 4. the class constitutes a candidate of 30 teachers. The opinions of the teacher candidates were obtained through the interview method. The data obtained were analyzed using qualitative data analysis technique. The findings from the study show that a significant proportion of the social studies teacher candidates who participated in the study did not have sufficient information about this institution. However, the teachers think that the non-formal education activities of the community centers contribute to the formal education activities of the Republic period. The other findings of the study are that the study of the Students ' Community Centers will contribute to today's educational activities and Social Studies 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th class textbook. The history of Class Revolution and Kemalism shows that he/she thinks that public houses should be given more space in the textbook.
