Sosyal Bilimler Bağlamında İslam Sosyolojisinin İmkanı: Paradigmatik Bir Sorgulama

Abstract

Aydınlanmacı pozitivist düşüncenin mutlak hakikat iddiaları bir kriz durumu ortaya çıkarmıştır. Söz konusu kriz durumu bağlamında Müslüman düşünürler ve ilim adamları, İslam’a ve Müslüman dünyaya yönelik daha anlamlı ve kapsayıcı olacağı umuduyla, İslamî sosyal bilimler oluşturma girişiminde bulunmuşlardır. İslam sosyolojisi, İslamî sosyoloji ya da bilginin İslamîleştirilmesi adı altında özetlenebilecek girişimler, modern bilimlerin temel karakteristiklerinin izlerini taşımaktadırlar ve her ne kadar isimlendirmeler “İslamî” nitelemesi taşıyor olsa da, modern aydınlanmacı ideallere bulaşık gibidirler. Dolayısıyla söz konusu girişimler, modern ideallere bulaşık olduğu müddetçe, İslamî olmayacaktır. İslamîlik için modern sosyal bilimlerin oluşturucu mantığından ve dayandığı benlik algısından mutlak anlamda uzaklaşma gerekmektedir.

The claims of the positivist enlightenment thinking for the absolute truth have generated a situation of crisis. In this crisis, Muslim thinkers and scholars, hoping to be more meaningful and inclusive to Islam and the Muslim world, have attempted to create Islamic social sciences. Never- theless, the attempts of the Sociology of Islam, Islamic sociology or the so-called Islamization of the knowledge bear the traces of the main characteristics of modern sciences, and despite the designations of being -Is- lamic-, they are intermingled with the ideals of the modern enlightenment. Hence, so long as being intermingled with modern ideals, these at- tempts will not be Islamic. Being Islamic necessitates an absolute distance from the constructive logic of the modern social sciences and the modern understanding of the self.
