Fen bilimleri dersi öğretiminde proje tabanlı öğrenme yönteminin uygulanmasına yönelik öğretmen ve öğrenci görüşleri: Muş örneği /

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı Muş İlindeki ilköğretim okullarında Fen Bilimleri dersinde Proje Tabanlı Öğrenme Yönteminin uygulanmasıyla ilgili Fen Bilimleri öğretmenlerinin ve öğrencilerinin görüşlerini ortaya koymak olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu bağlamda merkez ilçedeki 14 ilköğretim okulunda öğrenim gören 1409 öğrenci ve bu okullarda çalışan 75 öğretmene ölçek uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler SPSS paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Öğrenci ölçeği ile elde edilen verilere ANOVA ve t-testi; öğretmen ölçeğinden elde edilen verilere Kruskal Wallis H ve Mann Whitney U testleri uygulanmıştır. Sonuçlar öğrencilerin projeler konusunda bilinçli olduğunu ve proje tabanlı öğrenmenin bakış açılarını farklılaştırdığını ya da arkadaşları ile yardımlaşmasını sağlayarak kendilerini geliştirdiklerini göstermiştir. Proje Tabanlı Öğrenme Yöntemi değerlendirmesinin öğrencilerin sınıfına, kardeş sayısına ve anne eğitim düzeyi gibi demografik verilerine göre farklılık gösterdiği; ancak cinsiyeti, baba eğitim durumu ve çalışma odası olup olmaması gibi demografik verilerine göre farklılık göstermediği bulunmuştur. Öğretmenler arasında yapılan ölçek sonuçları da, öğretmenlerinde proje tabanlı öğrenime olumlu baktıkları tespit edilmiştir. Proje Tabanlı Öğrenme Yönteminin öğretmenlerin cinsiyet, mesleki deneyim ve okuttukları sınıf gibi demografik verilerine göre değişkenlik gösterme durumunun farklılık göstermediği bulunmuştur.

The ultimate objective of this study is to find out the perception of the students and their teachers in Muş province in terms of the project based learning. In this regard, two questionnaires were conducted with 1409 students educating in 14 schools in Central District and 75 teachers working in these schools. The obtained data were analysed with SPSS packaged program. ANOVA and t-test were applied to the student scale data and Kruskal Wallis H and Mann Whitney U tests were applied to teacher scale data. Findings showed that students have good knowledge about the project based learning and they believe that this system has broadened their views and develop their skills through helping each other. Findings of this study also showed that socio-demographic characteristics of the students such as the level of class they attends, the number of brother/sister they have in their household and the education level of their parents effect their perception about the Project based learning. When looking at the teachers point view, findings of this study showed that their perception about Project based learning is also good however this time it was found out in this study that socio-demographic factors do not affect their perception about Project based learning.
