dc.description.abstractThis study, makes an analysis of different educational concepts, establishes a direct relationship between education and religious education. Moving from this conceptual analysis the relation between Christian practical theology and religious education is discussed from a contextual perspective, commencing with a number of distinctions between various teaching processes which are then applied to the teaching of religion. The implications for a Christian philosophy of education are considered, and it is suggested that the argument would also apply to relations between other religions and education in a pluralist Europe.en_US
