Cumhuriyetten Günümüze Sosyal Bilgiler Öğretim Programlarında Değişen "İyi Vatandaşlık” Algısı

Abstract

Thepurpose of this research is to reveal the changing perception of ‘goodcitizenship’ in the social studies teaching programs from the foundation of therepublic to nowadays (1924-2017). The historic method, which is one of thesurvey models, was used in the study since the social studies teaching programswere analysed from the foundation of the republic to nowadays. The acquireddocuments (the social studies teaching programs published from the foundationof the republic to nowadays) were analysed based on the descriptive analysismethod. When the results of the study were evaluated as a whole, it was foundout that the social studies teaching programs always emphasized ‘citizenshiptransmission’ from the past to today. It can be said that the programs includedsuch expressions related to the perception of ‘good citizenship’ as bringing upproductive individuals who have adoptedthe republic ideology; know their responsibilities, rights and tasks for theirnation; recognize the old historically important people; are always ready to dotheir best for his nation; and contribute to the development of democracy.

Buçalışmanın amacı, ülkemizde Cumhuriyetten günümüze (1924-2017) Sosyal BilgilerÖğretim Programlarında değişen iyi vatandaşlık algısını ortaya koymaktır. Budoğrultuda çalışmada, Cumhuriyetten günümüze Sosyal Bilgiler ÖğretimProgramları incelendiği için tarama modeli içerisinde yer alan tarihsel yöntemkullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen dokümanlar (Cumhuriyetten günümüzeyayınlanmış Sosyal Bilgiler Programları), betimsel analiz yöntemine dayalıolarak analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına genel olarak bakıldığında, Sosyal Bilgiler programlarının geçmişten günümüze vatandaşlık aktarımını önplana aldığı görülmüştür. Bu doğrultuda programlardaki iyi vatandaşlık algısı:“cumhuriyet ideolojisini benimsemiş, milletine ve devletine karşı görev vesorumluluklarını bilen, eski tarihi kişiliklerin hayatlarını tanıyan, ülkesiiçin canla başla mücadele eden ve bunu yaşamında bir ülkü ve inanç halinegetiren, üretken, hak ve sorumluluklarını bilen, demokrasinin gelişmesine katkısağlayan insanlar yetiştirmek” olarak yer almıştır.
