SOSYAL BİLGİLER DERSİNDE PROJE TABANLI ÖĞRENME YÖNTEMİNİN ETKİSİNİ BELİRLEMEYE YÖNELİK BİR ÇALIŞMA

Abstract

Bu çalışmayla, sosyal bilgiler dersinde proje tabanlı öğrenme yönteminin kullanılmasının öğrencilerin akademik başarısına, derse yönelik tutumuna ve sınıf içi demokratik tutumuma etkisi saptanmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada ön test–son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırma 2017-2018 eğitim-öğretim yılı bahar dönemi Malatya ili merkez ortaokullarından, Sümer Ortaokulunda gerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırmanın veri analizinde betimleyici istatistik ve MANCOVA analizi kullanılmıştır.Araştırmadan elde edilen bulgular, proje tabanlı öğrenme yönteminin öğrencilerin akademik başarılarını ve derse yönelik tutumlarını pozitif yönde etkilediğini fakat öğrencilerin sınıf içi demokratik tutumları üzerinde herhangi bir etki oluşturmadığını göstermektedir.

In this study, it was aimed to determine the effect of using project-based learning method in social studies on students ' academic success, attitude towards the course and democratic attitude in the classroom. Pre–test-final Test control group semi-experimental pattern was used in the study. There search was conducted in the spring term of the 2017-2018 academic year at the Sümer secondary school, one of the Central Secondary Schools in Malatya province. Descriptive statistics and mancova analysis were used in the data analysis of there search. The findings from the study show that the project-based learning method positively affects students 'academic achievement and attitudes towards the course, but does not have any impact on students' democratic attitudes in the classroom.
