Fethullah Gülen Örgütü ve Darbeler

Abstract

Theaim of this research was to shed light on the hidden plans behind 15 July coupeattempt orchestrated by Fethullah Gülen organization through evaluation of theorganization stance against former modern and postmodern coupes in Turkeybetween the years 1970-2000. In this study, a qualitative approach throughanalysis of documents and records survey was followed. Accordingly, thewritings and statements made by Fethullah Gülen as the head of the organizationand other primary names in the group and also the stance which was taken by themedia and press linked to the group concerning to the 1970, 1980 and 28February 1997 coups in Turkey was investigated and analyzed. The results showedthat Gülen and his organization not only did not take a principal stanceagainst the coups in Turkey but also had supporting, affirming and praisingstatements for that. It was concluded that they negatively criticized theoverthrown governments, political parties and leaders who were subjected to thecoup.

Buaraştırmanın amacı, Fethullah Gülen örgütünün Türkiye’de 1970-2000 yılları arasındagerçekleşen modern ve postmodern askeri darbelere karşı tutumunu inceleyerekörgütün 15 Temmuz’da gerçekleştirdiği darbe girişiminin arka planına ışıktutmaktır. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden doküman analizi ve belgetarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Bu bağlamda 1970, 1980 ve 28 Şubat 1997’de Türkiye’degerçekleşen darbelerle ilgili olarak başta örgütün lideri Fethullah Gülen olmaküzere örgütte öne çıkan isimlerin yazıları, açıklamaları ile örgüte bağlıbasın-yayın kuruluşlarının darbelere karşı tutumu incelendi ve analiz edildi.Araştırmanın sonucunda Gülen ve örgütünün Türkiye’de gerçekleşen darbelerekarşı ilkesel bir tutuma sahip olmadıkları, aksine darbeleri ve darbecileriolumlayan, destekleyen, öven açıklama ve tutumlarının olduğu; buna karşındarbelere maruz kalan hükümetleri, siyasi parti ve liderleri eleştirdikleri vehaksız buldukları sonucuna varılmıştır.
