Özet
Bioreactive facades and microalgae architecture have recently drawn attention as clean energy sources in the built environment to achieve a zero energy target. As a combination of technical and biological cycles, bioreactive facades have positive impacts on sustainable development. This study evaluates the possibilities of using microalgae and bioreactive facades in buildings as an innovative approach for energy efficiency. The first point of the study is to investigate the use of microalgae as a renewable energy source in architecture. It creates a resource for microalgae and bioreactors by providing a general framework and categories for researchers on the subject. In the second stage of the study, design proposals for different types of photobioreactors (PBR) were developed with the visual artificial intelligence tool DALL-E. The designs were evaluated in terms of their visual diversity, material usage, compositional layout and technical equipment. As a result, DALL-E produced creative and innovative solutions using different PBR types for building facades.
